An April Evening at Southwest

With our 50th Graduation Anniversary Weekend coming up this fall, we wanted to share a few recent photos taken on a quiet April evening. These images capture the school grounds in a soft, golden light—evoking memories of late practices, fall sunsets, and the steady rhythm of days gone by.

Though the building now stands empty, there’s still life here. The field, once the heart of Friday night games, now welcomes neighborhood dogs and kids learning to ride their bikes. The goalpost still stands like a sentinel from our past, while the worn track and towering trees remind us of just how much—and how little—has changed.

From the fading light across the football field to the silhouette of the school against the evening sky, these photos reflect a place frozen in time yet still deeply familiar. Take a moment to soak in the scenes. Let them stir memories of classmates and teachers, laughter in the halls, and the lives we were only beginning to build.

We hope these familiar sights inspire you to join us in person. Come walk the field, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate the place that helped shape who we are today.

We can’t wait to see you there.

—Your Reunion Committee

    Southwest Class of 75′

Great images of the grounds of SWHS and certainly not much has changed. Good luck with the 50th Anniversary of our great class of 1975.
